The ๐ด๐๐ต ๐ช๐๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ป ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น in the old water town of Wuzhen in Zhejiang province came to an end yesterday after 10 days of theatre, carnival and street performances.



About a 2-hour drive from Shanghai, the festival in Wuzhen took first place in 2013 and has since grown fast into an internationally known venue for theatre performances. The 1,300 year old town is every year (except for last year) transformed to a unique and vibrant ambiance with major stage productions from both Chinese and international directors but also notable for its many street performances by students and amateur theatre groups to put on their shows along the picturesque canals and alleys.



This yearโs festival saw many Chinese performances but also Shakespeare, Sigmund Freud, Oedipus and other foreign plays passed the scenes. While carnival parades were filling the old town streetsโฆ
