China preparing for a special Lunar New Year...

China preparing for Lunar New Year 2021 (12th of February). As the year of the ox is approaching, new COVID outbreaks are taking place in Hebei province, Beijing (Shunyi district) and North-Eastern China.


With the number of new COVID cases in Mainland China fluctuating around 100-150 per day this week, strict precautions are currently being taken. Especially with new year coming up, a period which usually sees 100's of millions of people traveling to their hometowns.



𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮 is well on the way for their target to complete vaccination of 50 million people by beginning of next month. According data, about 10 million people have already completed the 2-step vaccination and millions are in process now.





𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 all over China have already ordered a mandatory 14-day quarantine for people from Beijing and other affected cities if they return to their hometowns. Practically, this might make it impossible for millions of people to return home during New Year this year.



𝗜𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 of COVID affected cities are currently in lock down and millions being tested to control and inhibit further spread.
