China’s new generation 600 km/h high speed railway in progress

Even though high speed railway is only available in China for 10 years now, the network is already covering 29,000km and linking 23 provincial capitals with speeds up to 350km/h. Nevertheless, China does not stop from evolving to the next level in the coming years.

See here the new prototype Maglev train which can reach speeds up to 600km/h. This concept can fill up gaps between railway and aviation services, especially on international and intercontinental levels. This protoype was shown last month to the public in Qingdao by developer and manufacturer CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co..

The fully engineered 5-wagon prototype is scheduled to roll off the production line next year and will go through comprehensive tests to finish integrated verification in 2021.

Stay tuned on this amazing development, the first 10 years high speed railway in China have been more than impressive but the next 10 years will definitely add unique progress to a changing world of railway transportation in China and globally between continents.
