𝟭. February 22 – Many couples all over China got married on Tuesday, the special date of February 22, 2022. The pronunciation of “two” in Chinese sounds similar “love”. A couple at the marriage registration office in Haidan district, #Beijing.



𝟮. February 22 – The 2022 Lion-headed Goose Cultural Festival was held in #Shantou city, #Guangdong province from February 22-23. Shantou has a history of over 300 years in breeding the Lion-Head goose species with a local industry today exceeding 3.5 billion yuan. The annual festival displays among others culinary competitions, performances and egg painting aside a wide array of goose foods and products.



𝟯. February 23 – Folk artist Chen Guorui showing his pagoda made from around 12,500 grains of rice. Chen is an inheritor of this unique art originating in Gaolou village in #Fuzhou, #Fujian province. The ancient art uses rice and rice paste to create rice grain sculptures. The technique has hundreds of years of history. The technique was enrolled in the list of intangible cultural heritage in Fujian province earlier this month.


𝟰. February 21 – While the Winter Olympics in Beijing are just finished and the Winter Paralympics still need to begin next week, #Hangzhou marked the 200-day countdown on Monday for the 2022 Asian Games with a drone show over the West Lake. The Asian Games will take place in Hangzhou and regional cities from September 10-25.



𝟱. February 21 – Welcoming kids back at kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in #Beijing after the Spring Festival winter holidays. The new semester began on Monday.



𝟲. February 20 – Volunteers and staff workers at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics pose for a group photo at the National Stadium during the closing ceremony of the Games. #winterolympics
