𝟭. July 7 – The start of ‘Minor Heat’ (小暑, xiǎo shǔ), the 11th solar term of the Chinese lunisolar year of the Tiger. Minor Heat marks the beginning of the hottest period during summer.
𝟮. July 4 – Night market in #Xian, #Shaanxi Province. The night economy is stimulated in cities all over China to revive business after pandemic quarantines in previous months with night markets, food streets and performances.
𝟯. July 6 – Honeysuckle harvest season in Zhuyi city, #Guizhou Province. Honeysuckle flower is a common herb in #TraditionalChineseMedicine to relieve heat and improve blood circulation during summertime, especially popular as tea. It is also used to treat cough, a sore throat and fever.
𝟰. July 2 – The Yuqie Desert Highway, crossing the Taklimakan Desert in Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, #Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region opened for traffic on June 30.
𝟱. July 3 – A string of lighted fishing boats like a snake through the water during a folk festival in Sandu fishing village at the shore of Xin'an river in #Zhejiang Province.
𝟲. July 7 – Liuba Bakery, a tourist hotspot this summer at the commercial Liuxing street in Yining city, #Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The bakery has gained popularity with tourists and on social media for their delicious artisan breads.
