Shanghai bringing digital worlds onto the physical stage....
While people all over the world have been diving and escaping into the digital, virtual worlds during the pandemic such as social media, gaming or live streaming platforms, Shanghai took the other way around and brought the digital world onto the physical stage this week for a couple of days.

Chinajoy (China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference) was held from July 31 to August 3 with strict health security, registration and tracing procedures in place.
Understandably much smaller with large foreign gaming giants being absent such as Microsoft and Sony, domestic heavyweights as Blizzard, Tencent, Ubisoft, and Epic Games to e-commerce giants JD and Taobao, along with several mobile phone makers and video-streaming site Bilibili were mostly present.

A total of 200 companies promoting close to 1,000 products with 5G cloud gaming and Hanfu dresses being hypes during the show.

Chinajoy is known for its spectacular demos and trailers, cosplayers, gadgets and total entourage.
